I like dis game :)

I really love the pupdate! the new level looks really cool and I like the music that plays during it. the lower platform density does increase the difficulty compared to lake shore zone since it's harder to rack up a big combo but that also makes coffee feel a lot more mandatory too. the platform shapes are pretty cool too and also the short one with the super steep upward slope is kind of hard to land on which adds to the extra difficulty I feel (which I really appreciate by the way!)

other than the aerial-while-grounded bug, I think the only nitpicking I have to do is about the level selection menu. it doesn't let you change your cursor position particularly quickly which feels kind of unresponsive, and there's a missing opening parenthesis in "lakeshore zone timed run)". I also think that splitting timed and one hit into two different levels is a bit odd and if you add more levels that's probably going to get really clunky. maybe you could have just lake shore zone and cold and dark forest as options and to the right of the level name you have the timed/one hit icon with (sketchy/moving?) arrows on either side to say you can toggle with left/right (like <⏱> or <💀>), and then to indicate what level you're on you could put like a star or dot to the left of the level you're selecting.

this game is still really addicting and I continue to play it whenever I have some free time, it's really fun to try to grind out a high score in both levels! I was really happy when I managed to z rank cold and dark forest timed, it took a lot longer than lake shore zone but I got there eventually ^w^

menus are def not my strongest skill haha so I appreciate specific feedback and the ideas ~ I do plan on adding more levels and wanna make sure the menu functions effectively! hopefully every update improves that experience 😅 I'm glad the new level is more challenging and still fun! 💕

do you mind explaining the aerial while grounded bug? is it that sometimes landing doesn't trigger a back to being grounded state? are you noticing it at any specific time/obstacle? just wondering! i've seen it happen, but yeah ~ i'd like to figure it out haha x.x

Okay! small menu fix! selection should move quicker and I removed repeated text in the level select/fixed that typo! i'll make bigger changes when I have time! thanks again! <3 hopefully that's a little smoother tho! ^w^

haii! the new menu looks good and it feels a lot more responsive too. re:aerial while grounded, from what I can tell it happens when you land on a platform while you're jumping up on a super steep platform and you land before you start falling, or when you fall from one platform to the next with very little time spent in the air (in cold and dark forest for example there's a lot of occasions where you have two horizontal platforms at the top of the screen that have a really small gap between them)

Amazing! The whole game had a cute aura about it!
The music and voices were great, and I loved how the object sprites were moving like they were in motion!
The high score was too hard to beat but it was a lot of fun, wow~! (ᐡ ᐧ ﻌ ᐧ ᐡ)

took me a bit to realize that jumping on the ground is on key release despite reading the guide (but that might just be me being silly)

got 360k on the forest level (which is really pretty btw!!) :3

This is just like, really cute and fun. Only negatives I can give is that the constant voicelines get a bit annoying after a while and that slowing down is just really fustrating and confusing as to how it works.

Other than that, this game is just like comfort food embodied in game form. I hope this game either gets expanded into something bigger or just gets more updates, It'd be nice to have more levels :>

thanks for the feedback! I am thinking of adding either a slider for voice lines or adjusting the code a bit in a future update! I also think adding a meter for speed would help make it make more sense, but it's based on the coffees collected ~ each one resets the counter for 10 seconds I believe ~ so slowing down happens if you don't keep collecting them. This could be made more clear\changed tho ^w^ it's been nice to update and improve the game and I really appreciate the feedback a lot!

I also have two more level ideas and another character planned ~ so the game will hopefully be expanded into something a bit bigger this year! 

Sweet! For the speed thing, I'd say just add a very barebones momentum system. Speed up over time, coffees add to the speed, obstacles takeway speed, cap out at some max speed, very basic stuffz. But that's just my opinion, do what ya want!! :D

this game is awesome. I have been playing it on call with a friend and I am deeply in love with it. the sound design is awesome, I love the ost, I love the art style, the one metric ton of particles scratch my brain in a really good way, and also the game just plays really well. I don't know if it's intended to get combo when you jump AND when you land but it's really satisfying to do that and I have abused this to get really good scores. grinding for even higher pretty much immediately after writing this comment.

I guess the only thing that bugs me is that the delay to jumping off the ground applies to the first jump you make which gave me trouble on my first playthrough but that doesn't bother me too much given most of the time you're not on the ground. going back to the main menu only sometimes works, pressing enter or space most of the time just makes you play a timed run (even if you were previously doing a one hit) which is a little upsetting I guess. really really good game though.

I have I only have one complaint: why is she in the tube? can we please get her out of the tube? thank you in advance for freeing her from the tube.

Thanks so much for playing and for the compliments and feedback! ^w^ I'll look at the combo code as it's been a minute, but I think that stacking is intentional lol! I'll look at the menus and try to fix that! And I also made the tube appear less, but haven't updated yet. There's supposed to be another update also & I think I could redo the menus tbh, if/when I have time!

The jump is triggered when the key/button is up. Is that why the first jump feels delays? I wanted it to feel like prepping to to an ollie/jump and there's a charge if you hold it down long enough.

hii! grounded jumps being triggered when the key is released instead of pressed makes a lot more sense now that you say it that way, I do think that it's good flavor-wise and tbh I probably should've noticed that earlier. I still really love this game, I've been playing this on and off the past couple days like some little phone game type thing, it's so fun. the menus work now btw as far as I can tell :33 

btw, from what I can tell if you land on a platform while rising then your jump inputs won't work until you start falling again which trips me up on occasion
